After the confirmation of a call, discipleship is a powerful tool in helping to equip the person called. We want to come alongside you and your church to help equip the called for their ministry. Below are a list of tools designed to specifically help prepare and encourage those who have made a public declaration about their calling. Online Ministry Training
Explore Your Calling - Ministry Training Institute
January 21 - February 24
Instructors: Larry Hyche, Ben Edfeldt, Scott Guffin, and Kevin Blackwell
Explore Your Calling is presented through a partnership between Samford University’s Ministry Training Institute and the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. The goal of this course is to assist you in understanding a gospel calling, discovering biblical characteristics of a gospel calling, discerning your calling, and spiritually growing toward and into your calling. The Explore Your Calling course will involve five weeks of instruction with various instructors teaching and investing in you.
Ministry Training Institute
MTI is a non-degree academic program equipping ministers and lay-leaders to live out their calling to serve Jesus Christ and His church. We offer an array of educational opportunities including a variety of online certificates and extension courses administered all over the southeast. The Ministry Training Institute also provides workshops and seminars throughout the year in a number of ministry related fields. Each course, seminar or workshop is biblically based and administered with the highest quality and integrity. Whether online, in a classroom or through a workshop, highly qualified and experienced instructors lead each educational opportunity.
GroupLife Resources
GroupLife features age-related training to assist in your church’s strategy for groups. You’ll hear from leaders around the state, as experts in age-related areas, share their wisdom from ministry. You’ll add more tools and knowledge to your work for any age.
Understanding a Call to Ministry - NAMB
Understanding a Calling to Ministry provides free companion resources to Calling Out the Called. These videos and guides cover seven ministry topics and include practical tools for ministry leaders to disciple and walk alongside future ministry leaders as they examine their calling to ministry.
Caskey Center for Church Excellence
The vision is for the Caskey Center to assist ministers to preach God’s Word, proclaim the gospel, and impact the world for Christ. Our prayer is that these resources will provide pastors and church leaders access to the latest research and best practices for ministry in church settings.
